Mudaan ni Pamilja is owned and managed by Allan and Catherine Canam. The farm was originally a family-run flower plantation managed by Catherine's family. When her father retired from farming, the family decided to convert it into a coffee farm, thinking that it would be an easy task of planting and reaping the harvest. Little did they know that it would be such a laborious process to take care of the trees, harvest, and process the cherries to produce high-quality coffee. Throughout the years, Allan and Catherine have been learning the craft of coffee processing and honing in on the process that works for their coffee and their environment. Today, they produce one of the most sought-after coffees in Benguet, and it is truly one our favorites.
Storage Tips
- Buy whole beans: Whole beans stay fresh longer than ground coffee. Grind your coffee just before brewing for the best taste.
- Avoid freezing or refrigerating: The humidity changes when taking coffee in and out of the fridge can introduce moisture into the packaging, leading to staleness.
- Store in a cool, dry place: Keep your coffee away from sunlight to preserve its flavor.
